Fast-Track guidelines
The Fast-Track is a review process to authors seeking a very fast editorial decision at a considerably higher submission fee.
The guaranteed response time (report and the editorial letter) is 14 days, starting the count from the first business day on which valid payment information has been received from the submitting author.
If you choose "Fast-Track" for your manuscript for the first time, the submission fee for your paper is Euro 800. For a resubmitted "Fast-Track"-manuscript the submission fee is Euro 400. Each paper will be reviewed by a single referee. If the response deadline is not met, no submission fee will be charged. The author has the option of switching to the regular (free editorial review process in subsequent rounds if he/she wishes. If, after a resubmission, the author wishes to stay on the Fast-Track and the editor considers the revisions as minor, then the editor will reduce the Fast-Track resubmission fee to Euro 150.00.
To submit a Fast-Track submission, follow the instructions given on the web page
Submission Policy. Make sure to select "Fast Track/IRR" as the category of submission in step 2 of the submission process. The payment options are also described in the
Submission Policy.
Disclaimer
The Fast-Track procedure is a very demanding procedure for both editors and referees for the journal and therefore is subject to capacity constraints. If too many Fast-Track submissions are received within a given period, the journal reserves the right to refuse acceptance of further Fast-Track submissions.
